How to get a good deal on the new Samsung S26: from the experts
With Samsung revealing that the latest trio of devices from its flagship mobile series will hit the shelves on March 11, the experts at Go.Compare mobile have shared their insider tips for finding the best deals on the new Samsung S26 range, which was unveiled earlier this evening.
The new devices boast improved battery life, greater storage and improved nighttime video capabilities. All versions are available to pre-order now, and though prices start at £859, this rises to £1,699 for the most expensive version of the S26 Ultra.*
Now, Go.Compare’s experts have revealed how shoppers can get the latest Samsung tech for less - including making the most of pre-order offers, comparing deals and avoiding being upsold unnecessary data or other extras.
Catherine Hiley, Go.Compare mobile spokesperson, said: “There’s always a huge buzz around new Samsung releases and the reveal of the S26 range this evening has been no different. A lot of customers will be eager to switch as soon as possible, so we’re here to make sure they get the best price.
“If you’re looking to switch to an S26 device, it’s a good idea to get in quick. If you pre-order one of these handsets, you’ll get double the storage for no extra cost. So, if you opt for the entry-level 256GB version, you’ll automatically be upgraded to the 512GB. This not only gets you a phone worth £170 more, having double the memory could help you avoid having to pay for extra cloud storage.
“On top of this, some networks offer their own bonuses, like free trials for streaming services, priority tickets and cut-price cinema trips as part of their packages. So be sure to check out what’s on offer before you choose which network you want to go with.
“Remember to take your current contract into account before purchasing, though. If you’re still mid-contract, you might have to pay an early termination fee. But if you’re out of contract or you’re on a rolling monthly SIM deal, you should be free to switch without paying any extra fees.
“Your network might offer you the option to upgrade to the new S26. But these deals aren’t always the most competitive. So, make sure you do some research into what deals are available before you contact your provider. And if you’re finished with your old device, you might be able to get some money off the S26 by trading in your old phone.
“However you choose to buy your device, try to avoid being upsold any extras that you don’t need, including data upgrades. Unlimited data might sound tempting but will you actually make use of it? Or will a smaller allowance be more than enough? Reviewing your previous data usage can give you a good idea of how much you typically need so you can avoid overpaying for a perk you won’t benefit from.
“Remember not to jump on the first deal you see, either. Using a price comparison website to compare a wide range of deals from different networks will help you find a contract that suits you at a competitive price.”

About Go.Compare
Go.Compare is a comparison website that enables people to compare the costs and features of a wide variety of insurance policies, financial products and energy tariffs.
It does not charge people to use its services and does not accept advertising or sponsored listings, so all product comparisons are unbiased. Go.Compare makes its money through fees paid by the providers of products that appear on its various comparison services when a customer buys through the site.
When it launched in 2006, it was the first comparison site to focus on displaying policy details rather than just listing prices, with the aim of helping people to make better-informed decisions when buying their insurance. It is this approach to comparing products that secured the company an invitation to join the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) in 2008, and it is still the only comparison site to be a member of this organisation.
Go.Compare has remained dedicated to helping people choose the most appropriate products rather than just the cheapest and works with Defaqto, the independent financial researcher, to integrate additional policy information into a number of its insurance comparison services. This allows people to compare up to an extra 30 features of cover.
Go.Compare is part of Future Plc and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
