Go.Compare and Carwow announce new partnership

Carwow customers will have access to useful guides and information about their car insurance

Go.Compare and Carwow, the online car changing marketplace, have launched a strategic 12 month partnership to help inform customers on all things to do with insurance.

The new partnership will include a hub with useful information on the Carwow site and tips from Go.Compare in the Carwow newsletter.

The guides will include Go.Compare information about how to lower your insurance, what can impact your quote and much more for car owners. And what’s more, this partnership is the first of its kind for the new and used car marketplace.

Paul Rogers, Director of Marketing at Go.Compare said of the partnership: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be partnering with Carwow to launch this hub and provide its customers with educational information about all things insurance.

“Insurance is a significant cost for anyone who has a car, and at a time when insurance premiums are still increasing, we are finding that more and more motorists want to take control of their costs, understand how their policy works and make informed decisions about the cover they need. As part of this partnership, we will be providing Carwow customers with useful guides and practical information that will help with all of this.”

Sepi Arani, Commercial Director at Carwow said: “When two of the country’s best loved and largest marketplaces come together, great things happen for UK customers. With over 3.5m consumers coming to our site every month, our mission to support them through the entire car changing process, whether that be buying, selling their car or the associated services such as insurance naturally meant a partnership with Go.Compare was the perfect choice.

“Now more than ever, with the rise of electrification, new brands on sale and the continued desire from consumers to get the best product for their specific needs, getting the right level of cover from the right provider at the best price is key and no one does this in a more positive way than Go.Compare.”

About Go.Compare

Go.Compare is a comparison website that enables people to compare the costs and features of a wide variety of insurance policies, financial products and energy tariffs.

It does not charge people to use its services and does not accept advertising or sponsored listings, so all product comparisons are unbiased. Go.Compare makes its money through fees paid by the providers of products that appear on its various comparison services when a customer buys through the site.

When it launched in 2006, it was the first comparison site to focus on displaying policy details rather than just listing prices, with the aim of helping people to make better-informed decisions when buying their insurance. It is this approach to comparing products that secured the company an invitation to join the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) in 2008, and it is still the only comparison site to be a member of this organisation.

Go.Compare has remained dedicated to helping people choose the most appropriate products rather than just the cheapest and works with Defaqto, the independent financial researcher, to integrate additional policy information into a number of its insurance comparison services. This allows people to compare up to an extra 30 features of cover.

Go.Compare is part of Future Plc and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
